Santa Doug Was a Teacher Before He Wore the Red Suit
Santa Doug is a retired middle-school English teacher from Michigan. He spent a career with children before becoming a professional Santa, so talking with different ages is familiar territory. The red suit came later; the patience did not.
He has a natural beard, a warm manner, and one standing opinion about refreshments: the reindeer may be picky, but Doug has never met a cookie he did not like.
The Offseason Counts Too
Doug attended the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School in Midland, Michigan, in 2016 and again in 2017. His older profile also records membership in the Michigan Association of Professional Santas and the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas.
He enjoys meet-and-greets, group singing, and a good reading of The Night Before Christmas. His booking history includes private parties, office gatherings, corporate and community events, photo shoots, television commercials, and Christmas in July. Some of his favorite moments happen away from a scheduled job, when a child recognizes him as Santa even though he is not wearing the suit.
HireSanta works with performers across the country. You can read more about how to hire a professional Santa Claus for your event.
Where Santa Doug Travels
Doug’s original service list includes Detroit, Ann Arbor, Taylor, and Dearborn in Michigan, along with Toledo and Cleveland in Ohio. Travel still depends on the date, time, and event address, so send the location before building the schedule around him.
For an office or public appearance, share the parking, entrance, on-site contact, expected crowd, and whether Doug will read, sing, greet, or pose for pictures. The company and community Santa event guide will help you collect those details.
